The study of Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) personality has largely relied on historical and transmitted reports. The Qur’an, however, presents him not through a historical narrative, but through his relationship with revelation, his prophetic mission, his moral character, and his human interactions. This study examines how the Qur’an portrays the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and how this portrayal relates to the history-oriented approach to prophetic studies. It aims to identify the components of the Prophet’s personality in Qur’anic verses and to explain their normative potential for emulation. The research adopts a descriptive-analytical method, examining relevant verses in light of their context and implications across four domains: human nature, servitude to God, and relationship with revelation; moral and emotional characteristics; prophetic mission and responsibility toward his audience; and participation in social and family relationships. The findings indicate that the Qur’an presents these components as interconnected, establishing relationships among the Prophet’s human and prophetic dimensions, his moral and emotional characteristics, and his interactions with his audience. The concept of the “excellent exemplar” (uswa ḥasana) highlights the normative potential of this Qur’anic approach. Historical data are used solely to clarify the context of the verses; independently reconstructing the Prophet’s personality on the basis of such data is not the aim of this study
