In the knowledge of God, knowledge of God's relationship with creatures and relationship of creatures with God, some words have linguistic, semantic, cognitive and essential potentials. One of these words is "Shai". On one hand, this word is known in general human knowledge, and while it does not need any teaching and acquisition, any teaching or acquisition is dependent to the understanding of this word.
 On the other hand, this familiar and widespread word can be applied to all beings, the creator and the creatures; it can also place all the creatures on one side so that the ground for the distinction between their decrees would be clarified and their relationship with God specified. Present paper tries to research the status of this word in the book of God, and shows that this word has an exceptional status in the aforementioned cognition and knowledge.
